Obverse I12 - Doubled E PLUR and U-M of the motto at the top of the bottom serifs. First four stars on left and all of the stars on right slightly doubled on outside. First 8 doubled at top inside of upper loop. 7 in date doubled slightly on right side. First obverse die used.
Reverse A1h - All of legend and motto doubled. Left wreath and olive leaves slightly doubled. Three small feathers added on eagle's right and two one eagle's left side between leg and bottom of wing. First reverse used.
Obverse II 2 - Small die gouge line to right of lower cotton leaf of top two. Clashed die with partial incuse n of In from reverse showing next to Liberty head neck.
Reverse B/Ak - Seven tail feather ends showing. The VAM-41 exhibits the strongest set of tailfethers tips sprouting below the standard 7. This coin is basically the VAM-41 but with the clashing and no additional polishing.
Obverse II 1 - Point of fourth right star only partially broken. Diagonal die clash line extending to left from eyelid tip. Radial die crack at left side of first right star with displaced field break on initial use with B2 reverse and progressing with die use.
Reverse B2e - Fine engraving lines in middle of both eagle's wings where die was over polished due to incorrect basining. R in TRUST not broken.
Obverse III2 4 - Radial die crack on left side of first right star with slightly displaced field break.
Obverse III21 - Date set left within normal position. Only faint die clash marks show at lips and eye front.
Reverse C3a - Unusual offset of sideways vee clash marks next to top of right wreath. Top set of sideways vees shows three closely grouped clash marks. Lower group shows three clash marks with fairly wide separation on early die state while later die states only show two outer clash vee marks. These die clash marks appear on very early PL die state coins, so possibly die clashes occurred during die setup in press.
Reverse C3a - Clashed die with full raised E below eagle’s tail feathers on left side and partial B & R next to E from obverse LIBERTY.
Obverse III2 3 - Doubled Liberty head variety with two complete sets of lips, chin and nose clearly visible. Hair is filled and also lower parts of ERT in LIBERTY. The wheat and cotton leaves above LIBERTY are doubled strongly to the right.
Reverse C3a - Centered circular medium III O mint mark with wide opening, centered and upright.
