Reverse B/Ad - Three tail feather ends showing; strong one under 4 TF and two faint ones between 4 & 5 TF and 5 & 6 TF. Very faint tail feather shows under 6 TF on early strike specimens. Eagle's legs are one and one half times normal width with doubled talons. Design remains in olive leaves, below branch on left and center of wreath bow. Diagonal polishing line from 1 TF down thru 4 TF on some specimens. Broad diagonal die gouge on left side of eagle's neck.
Obverse II 2 - Star 4 right is intact. 7 in date doubled slightly on right side. Normal type II obverse with no die breaks.
Reverse B/Ag - Four tail feathers showing; between 2 and 3 TF and under 3, 4, and 5 TF. Design remains in leaves of branch, below branch on left, and around wreath bow. Die chips around D, W, E, and U of IN GOD WE TRUST.
Obverse II 2 - Broken point on star 4 right. 7 in date doubled slightly on right side. E and P have bulges at top right and B is doubled at right inside and bottom outside of lower loop. Die marker - Single diagonal polishing line in lower right hair vee.
Reverse B/Ag - Four tail feathers showing; between 2 and 3 TF and under 3, 4, and 5 TF. Design remains in leaves of branch, below branch on left, and around wreath bow. Die chips around D, W, E, and U of IN GOD WE TRUST.
Obverse II/I 9 - Doubled LIBERTY with shift to left; largest shift of this kind known. All letters in E PLURIBUS UNUM and all left and right stars doubled. Doubled date with 1 doubled on both sides of shaft, first 8 doubled at top outside and inside right of upper loop, 7 doubled on right, second 8 doubled on inside right of upper loop.
Reverse B/Ah - Five tail feather ends showing; between 2 and 3, 3 and 4, 4 and 5, and under 5 and 6 TF. Design remains in leaves of branch, below branch on left, and around wreath bow. Eagle's right wing separated from leg due to over polishing.
Obverse II 2 - Different die than VAM 41. Die marker - Single horizontal polishing line in hair gap above 7.
Reverse B/Ak - Four tail feather ends showing; partial end between 2 and 3 TF, thin line between 3 and 4 TF, full end below 5 TF, and partial end between 5 and 6 TF. Some early strikes show a broken line below 4 TF. Design remains in branch leaves, below branch on left and around wreath bow. Doubled right leg and talons. Polished down version of B/Ak. This is a long nock reverse.
Obverse B1e - D of DOLLAR broken at bottom with just two lines remaining. Die chip on eagle's right wing, sixth feather down and also next to body. Die over polished with blank areas in eagle's left wing and tail feathers.
Obverse II/I 8 - Type II LIBERTY with thick letters. Doubled P-U-B on top left, second U on right and S at bottom of fully struck specimens. Partially broken bottom serifs of N & M in UNUM. Doubled left stars and 1, 3, 4 & 5 right stars. Doubled date with doubled 1 & 7 at top right, first 8 on surface of both loops, 7 at lower edge of crossbar and right 8 at bottom outside of lower loop on fully struck specimens.
Reverse B2a - Shallow die gouge across eagle's right leg.
Obverse II/I 14 - Type II LIBERTY. Extra vertical line in top loop and extra horizontal lines in bottom loop of B in PLURIBUS. Doubled 2 and 3 stars on left and 1 and 3 stars on right. 1 in date doubled at top right.
Obverse III11 - Lines in all wheat leaves, with more detail in cotton boll tops than type II obverse. Thin vertical bars of LIBERTY letters. Complete ribbon line at bottom of Phrygian cap. Date slightly doubled at top inside of upper and lower loops of 8's and left sides of 1 and 7 shafts. All left and right stars doubled towards coin center. Lower hair doubled.
Reverse C1a - Die chip on D in UNITED. Die marker - Tiny polish line at top left of arrow shaft and olive branch junction. Die Marker - Two diverging polishing lines in space left of eagle's left leg.
Obverse II 1 - Some tiny die chips in front of ear and dot at back of nose. Both 8's have raised metal in loops from die polishing. Fourth right star broken.
Reverse B2aa - Feather engraved between eagle's right wing and leg. Fine engraving lines between eagle's right wing and body. R in Trust broken. Die chip back of top arrow head. Some light polishing lines on left field with long polishing line from bottom of eagle's right wing down to olive branch and diagonal die gouge on outside of eagle's left leg.

Reverse B2au - Small III S mint mark set slightly left with slight tilt to left. R in Trust not broken. Die markers: Short horizontal lines on partial lower feather between eagle's right wing and leg with some fine vertical polishing lines on left side.

Reverse B2ax - Doubled eagle's left wing upper feathers, D in DOLLAR and top edge of eagle's right wing. Slight doubling of In God We Trust letters to right.
Obverse II2 38 - Two thread like die impressions in front of eye. Entire date is doubled. 1 slightly doubled below top and bottom crossbars. 8 doubled at lower left outside and right inside of upper loop. 7 slightly doubled below crossbar. 9 slightly doubled at lower left outside and top left inside of upper loop and lower left inside of lower loop. All left and right stars slightly doubled to quadrupled towards rim. Tops of E PLUR UNUM slightly doubled towards rim.
Reverse C3e - Some middle leaves in right wreath leaf clusters slightly doubled towards rim.
Obverse III2 1 - Normal die. 8 in date has polishing lines within loops. There are also polishing lines in lower hair.
Reverse C3a - Normal die.
Obverse III2 3 - 9 in date doubled on left side. On some specimens 8 has a spike of metal on left side between loops. Open 9 variety.
Reverse C3e - IV S mint mark doubled at bottom of upper loop opening as thick slanted bar and in middle of lower loop opening as a curved line.
Obverse III2 1 - Polishing lines within loops of 8 with slightly doubled left inside of lower loop. Thread-like impression at back of jaw in shape of body louse or cootie.

Obverse III2 25 - Doubled 80 in date. Second 8 doubled faintly at left bottom outside of upper loop. 0 doubled faintly at left and right outside.

Reverse C3d - Mint mark is repunched with original showing as a vertical bar to right of top serif. Loop of mint mark filled.

Doubling at base of all three olive leaf clusters, top of middle and lower arrow feathers, back of lower arrowhead, right side of eagle’s nostril and eye and feathers of eagle’s left wing near neck. Short thread like raised line on second feather from bottom of eagle’s left wing and also on eagle’s right tail feathers.

Obverse III215 - Ear lobe slightly tripled at bottom that fades away with weak strike and die wear. Date set in normal position. Die 2. - Very slight doubling of nose bridge. Same die as VAM-10.
Reverse C4g - III O Mint mark set high and slightly right with slant to left. Fine polishing lines in eagle's tail feathers and wings. Die marker: Diagonal polishing lines in wreath bow and tail feathers. Die 2 Die marker - Polishing lines in eagle's wing-neck gap.
Obverse IV 30 - Slightly quadrupled left stars towards rim and lower edge of 1's top crossbar. Very slightly tripled right stars. Slightly doubled profile from forehead down to chin. Scribbling die scratches patch at back of jaw, likely to erase die crack. First case known of scribbling die scratches on 1921 obverse die.
Reverse D2a - Eagle's left wing over polished near body.
Reverse D2a - Heavy die crack thru tops of AMERICA letters. Two die cracks from right star to top of last A in AMERICA and continuing up to rim above C with die break above last A on later die states. Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle's right leg and between eagle's left wing and body.
Obverse IV 30 - Slightly quadrupled left stars towards rim and lower edge of 1's top crossbar. Very slightly tripled right stars. Slightly doubled profile from forehead down to chin. Scribbling die scratches patch at back of jaw, likely to erase die crack. First case known of scribbling die scratches on 1921 obverse die.

Reverse D2d - Horizontal die gouge in tail feathers above arrow shafts and at top right of wreath bow to wreath leaf. Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle's right leg, between eagle's left wing and body, and in middle of both wings.
