Obverse I12 - Doubled E PLUR and U-M of the motto at the top of the bottom serifs. First four stars on left and all of the stars on right slightly doubled on outside. First 8 doubled at top inside of upper loop. 7 in date doubled slightly on right side. First obverse die used.
Reverse A1h - All of legend and motto doubled. Left wreath and olive leaves slightly doubled. Three small feathers added on eagle's right and two one eagle's left side between leg and bottom of wing. First reverse used.
Obverse II 2 - Fourth right star has just part of point broken off.
Reverse B/Ak - Seven tail feather ends showing. The VAM-41 exhibits the strongest set of tailfethers tips sprouting below the standard 7.
Obverse II 2 - Small die gouge line to right of lower cotton leaf of top two. Clashed die with partial incuse n of In from reverse showing next to Liberty head neck.
Reverse B/Ak - Seven tail feather ends showing. The VAM-41 exhibits the strongest set of tailfethers tips sprouting below the standard 7. This coin is basically the VAM-41 but with the clashing and no additional polishing.
Obverse II2 - Diagonal die scratch down from right cotton boll. Also VAM-32. Earlier die state than VAM-32.
Reverse B/An - Left leg is doubled with one and one-half normal width. Middle talon is doubled on left foot and outside talon is doubled on right foot. Olive branch is doubled above tail feathers. Die has been overpolished in eagle's wing and tail feathers. Diagonal polishing marks are in tail feathers.
Obverse II/I 19 - Doubled LIBERTY shifted right. Doubled E, P, and R in E PLURIBUS. Doubled 2, 3, and 4 stars on left and doubled 1-5 stars on right (number 2 is tripled and is one of the best examples of a tripled star). Incomplete band in cap. Front eye doubled and front eyelid tripled.
Reverse B2i - Feather with three vertical bars and fine lines on them engraved between eagle's right wing and leg. Open o in God.
Obverse III2 3 - Doubled date with 18 strongly doubled at top outside, 8 also doubled at lower inside of upper loop, 7 at lower serif and 9 at bottom outside of lower loop.
Reverse C3c - Rough raised metal above and within CC mint mark, a large over small mint mark, G in God filled on LDS specimens.
Obverse III2 4 - Upper loop of 9 in date strongly doubled on left outside.
Reverse C3c - Medium II O centered mint mark over horizontal O with horizontal bars at top and bottom inside. Possibly triple O with first two punches high and low. Hub doubling of left reverse same as 1878 P C3b reverse with doubling of UNITED STATES bottom inside (strong doubling on inside of U), I of In at top, top right edge of eagle’s right wing and left edge of some leaves in left wreath.
Obverse III2 5 - Closed 9 in date doubled on left outside of lower loop. Die markers- Diagonal polishing line at 2nd lower right hair junction, pitting in LIBERTY.
Reverse B2e - Partial broken r in Trust. Feather engraved between eagle’s right wing and leg. Die marker- Short horizontal polishing line at top left of engraved feather area of eagle’s right wing. Two small vertical tail feathers engraved at very left side of upper tail feathers that engraver mistakenly added to normally blank area to create 9 upper tail feathers. Normal upper tail feathers next to two added ones slightly strengthened on right side as added ridge.
Obverse III2 5 - 8 repunched over 7 in date. Two serifs of 7 are clearly visible above 8 as two short spikes and crossbar of 7 is visible inside the upper loop of the 8. There is a slight bulge on left side of the 0 where original 9 was punched. 1 is tripled at the very bottom. First 8 is doubled slightly at bottom outside of lower loop. Second 8 is doubled slightly at lower left outside of upper loop. 0 is doubled at left inside. Fine die chips show on right inside first 8 lower loop.
Reverse C3a - Normal die with two fine diagonal die scratches in lower part of eagle's right wing.
Obverse III2 5 - 80 re-punched over 79. Second 8 has raised metal in upper loop with diagonal polishing lines and faint spike at top left outside. 0 has small raised metal at top right inside. 18-0 in date slightly doubled with 1 at bottom of lower crossbar, first 8 at bottom right of lower loop and 0 at lower left inside and outside.
Reverse C3e - Very large VI S mint mark repunched with original showing as a spike to left top serif.
Obverse III2 3 - Second 8 in date doubled on left outside of upper loop and bottom outside of lower loop. 2 doubled on right outside of upper loop. Polishing marks inside ear with area around neck overpolished. Open 2.
Reverse C3b - O over S variety with the center shaft of the S flush within the O. Small dots of metal all over eagle probably due to rusted die. An earlier die state shows a thin diagonal line.
Obverse III2 4 - Polishing marks inside ear. Second 8 doubled at left outside of both loops. 2 doubled on right outside of upper loop. Small dots of metal all over the Liberty Head. Open 2.
Reverse C3b - O over S variety with the center shaft of the S recessed within the O. Small dots of metal all over eagle and wreath. An earlier die state shows as a diagonal tear drop at lower past of opening.

Reverse C3d - O over S variety with the center shaft of the S broken within the O. Small dots of metal all over eagle and wreath. An earlier die state shows as a triangular dot at left side of loop opening and as a fine line in the middle.

Reverse C3a - Evidence of a die clash.
Obverse III2 2 - The entire date has been doubled with shift to the right. The top points of the original 1 is visible to the left of the new 1 with dot of metal at top. The 7 is tripled with doubling at the top and a dot of metal to the left of the crossbar and metal at the extreme lower left. One of the largest shifts of date doubling known.
Obverse III210 - Damaged denticles below 87 with depressions in field in front of denticle spaces and raised bar in denticle spaces.
Reverse C3b - IV S mint mark re-punched with original showing as arcs within top and bottom loops. Damaged denticles below DO in DOLLAR with depressions in field in front of denticle spaces and raised bar in denticle spaces possibly due to dies coming together at edge of denticles.

Obverse III2 4 - 2 in date doubled at top outside of upper loop as thin arc. Some specimens show machine or strike doubling of top of date digits and some right stars. Ear strongly doubled on right out outside of large lobe and on left and right inside. Date set much further left than normal (very near date).
Reverse C3c - Medium III O mint mark set high and tilted slightly to left with doubling at top left outside. Reeding on edge is overlapping for about 8 segments at two locations 180° apart varying from 3 and 9 o’clock to 6 and 12 o’clock.
Obverse III2 4 - All stars on right and left doubled at bottom. Lower portions of E PL-R-B and first U in UNUM doubled. Closed 9 in date.
Obverse III2 19 - Top of 8 appears in two denticle spaces just below 8 as two raised and curved bars. Date slightly slanted with 1 closest to rim.
Reverse C3a - Die is pitted to left below the eagle's tail feathers and in the lower left wreath as in VAM 1A.
Obverse III23 - Date set further left than normal.
Reverse C3o - Small micro O mint mark (Barber quarter) set slightly high and centered with tilt far to right. Slightly doubled outside edges of middle leaves of top three clusters of left wreath slightly on middle leaf of third cluster from bottom of right wreath.
Obverse III22 - Closed 9's in date. Bottom loop of second 9 partially filled. Date in center of lateral position with bottom left edge of 1 over middle of third denticle from neck point.
Reverse C3l - Small micro I O mint mark set slightly high and to right with tilt to right. Slightly doubled outside edges of middle leaves in top clusters of left wreath and lower clusters in right wreath.
Obverse III2 19 - All right stars and 1 and 2 left stars very slightly quintupled towards rim. Rest of left stars doubled and tripled as are tops of NUM.
Reverse C3a - Extra olive to right of olive connected to branch. Doubling of olive leaves in top cluster and first two leaves in the lower cluster, bottom of arrow feathers, shaft and arrow heads, first four tail feather ends, feathers on lower part of eagle's right wing, all of eagle's left wing, eagle's nostril and eye, bottom of top leaves on right wreath and right side of GOD WE-TRU.
Obverse III2 5 - Date set further left than normal.
Reverse C3j - O mint mark centered and punched over CC. The CC mint mark remains are set high and shifted to the right. The arch of the first C is visible on the left. The second C shows as two horns to the upper and lower right.
Obverse III2 9 - Doubled 00 in date. The first 0 doubled on the lower left inside and lower right outside. Second 0 doubled on lower left inside. First two stars on right doubled at bottom. Closed 9 variety. Date set further left than normal.
Reverse C3jm - O mint mark set high, upright and sifted slightly left.
Obverse III24 - Ear strongly doubled at right outside and left inside. Hairline doubled just above ear and Liberty head profile doubled along nose, lips and chin.
Reverse C4/C3g - Extra olive to right of olive connected to olive branch. Doubling at base of all three olive leaf clusters, top of arrow feathers, back of lower arrow head, and right side of eagle’s nostril and eye.
Reverse C4b - Normal die with small II S mint mark centered and upright.
Obverse IV 22 - Front of jaw very slightly doubled. All left stars very slightly doubled on surface towards rim. 4-6 right stars very slightly tripled towards rim.
Reverse D1a - Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle's right leg. Die marker – IR variety 6 with many SE diagonal die polishing lines in lower part of eagle’s left wing.
Obverse IV 24 - Collar clash of reeding on rim.
Reverse D1a - Additional raised dots from rusted die around ONE with heavy die file lines all over lower reverse.
